Bluegrass Army Depot Golf Facility
The Bluegrass Army Depot golf facility opened in 1946 and is about three miles from the center of the city. The military-type course features 2866 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. Carts and clubs rentals are available and you can also enjoy swimming, fitness, and food at the facility.
Boone’s Trace National Golf Club
Designed by David W. Pfaff, this is a popular golfing facility about 10 miles from the center of Richmond. The 18-hole course boasts over 6,659 yards with a par of 72 and beautiful scenery. The course has a slope rating of 136 on Bent grass and a course rating of 71.6. Other notable features include a restaurant, banquet hall facility, and carts rentals. For practice and instruction, there’s a driving range, pitching/chipping area, putting green, bunker, and a golf academy.
The Greens at Churchill’s Golf Facility
The Greens at Churchill’s golf facility is about 12 miles from the center of Richmond. The course offers 3,067 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. The course has a slope rating of 107 on Bermuda grass and a course rating of 34.4. Carts and clubs’ rentals are available and you’ll love the convenience offered by the banquet facilities, lockers, clubhouse, and meeting facilities on site.
Battlefield Golf Facility
Located six miles from the city, the 18-hole “Battlefield” course is one of the best locations in the area for a round of golf. The course features 5,993 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 with a slope rating of 110 and a course rating of 66.7. You’ll love the challenging and diverse holes, hills, water and tall rough. There are learning and practice opportunities, carts/club rentals, and a clubhouse at the facility.
