Is there anything more amazing than the smell of a bakery? The scents of rising dough, luscious frostings, and savory fillings can make anyone break their diet. If today’s the day to break yours, we can help. Give your Ford F-150 a break from towing and hauling for a bit, and let it take you on a gentle journey to one of the great bakeries here in Richmond, KY.
Bespoke Bakery and Café
Located in the Richmond Mall Food Court at 830 Eastern Bypass, Bespoke is a delicious spot for coffee, blended drinks, smoothies, cookies, cakes, cake pops, and all kinds of other desserts. They’re open Tuesday through Friday from 8AM until 6PM. On Saturday, they are open from 9AM until 3PM, and they’re closed on Sundays. This is a great bakery for a full café experience, where you can sit back and enjoy the coffee and a cupcake: but you can also get great baked goods to go. Everything here is made with fresh ingredients in small batches.
Their cupcakes are some of their most popular items, and flavors include creative gems like an amazing apple pie (vanilla cake with apple pie filling, topped with a cinnamon buttercream frosting and more apple pie filling) and their raspberry pistachio (vanilla cake with raspberry jelly filling topped with a pistachio buttercream, crushed pistachios, and a raspberry). Brandi’s Bakery and Bistro
Head down to the Boone Square Mini Mall at 154 Mini Mall Drive in Berea to find Brandi’s, and bring your appetite with you. They’re open from 9:30AM until 5PM from Tuesday through Saturday. This is a lovely spot, with great service, delicious flavors, and a full menu of both baked goods and meal items. At first, prices here might seem a tad high, but once you taste it, you’ll see why. Everything here is made with great care and from fresh ingredients, and that takes doing.
Order a custom cake here or one of their many delicious cupcake flavors: single or by the dozen. If you’re in need of some lunch, be sure to try their pepperoni pizza panini, the sloppy joe Philly, or their meatloaf melt. They also have nice soups and drinks. For their cakes, we have to recommend the angel food cake. If you’ve always been on the fence about angel food cakes (like we always have), this will 100% change your mind.
Becky’s Breads Berea Bakery
Take the short drive in your comfortable Ford to 128 N Broadway in Berea, KY to visit Becky’s Breads. They’re open from 9AM until 4PM from Tuesday through Friday and from 10AM until 4PM on Saturday. This is a wonderful spot for a delicious coffee, a relaxed atmosphere, and melt-in-your-mouth baked goods.
Try their amazing macarons, the bourbon balls, and the delicious croissants, which they will make into a lunch sandwich for you. They also have a cranberry bread that will ruin you for cranberry anything, ever again. You also want to try their Italian sodas.
