The 2025 Ford Ranger Improves On a Solid Formula

The Ford Ranger was redesigned in 2024, improving the midsize truck by leaps and bounds. It now comes standard with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine, and a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 is available. New driver assistance tech has been added for both on-road and off-road driving. The Ranger Raptor model is now the most high-performance and off-road capable Ranger model ever.

The 2025 Ford Ranger adds minor changes after the 2024 redesign, including new paint colors and a Black appearance package. By capturing the coveted North American Truck of the Year award, the Ford Ranger gives the Ford trucks segment its fifth win in a row. This record achievement highlights Ford's continued popularity and leadership in the truck segment.

Criteria For the North American Truck of the Year Award

To qualify for the North American Truck of the Year Award, trucks must be significantly changed or redesigned for the year. An unbiased panel of 50 automotive journalists chooses winners based on excellence in the areas of design, innovation, safety, performance, technology, user experience, value, and driver satisfaction.
